Here we'd provide you the best solution on how to transfer iPhoto videos to iMovie.
To learn the skills on how to move iPhoto video to iMovie, first we should know the reason why sometimes we have trouble in making it. Then we'd know what is iPhoto and iMovie and what features they get.
What is iPhoto and features for iPhoto
iPhoto is a powerful and easy-to-use Internet application that is specially designed for Mac OS X operating system by Apple Inc. It is part of iLife suite application which bundled with every Mac that allows users to import, organize, edit, print and share digital photos. iPhoto is used to allow importing from digital cameras, scanner, picture CDs and the Internet. Almost all digital cameras are recognized without additional software, as are many scanners. iPhoto supports most common image file formats.
Not only can iPhoto import photos, it can also import or upload videos taken or made by almost all digital cameras, camera phones or other video capturing applications. However, these imported or uploaded videos are frequently found unnecessary to be put in iMovie for editing. What's the matter?
What is iMovie and features for it?
iMovie is a simple, easy to use video editing program that comes free with the Apple operating system which allows Mac, iPod Touch 4th generation and iPhone 4 users to edit their own home movies.
Since it is originally released in 1999, it has had 9 versions for Mac OS and a version for iOS on iPhone and iPod touch. Different version has different features. Then this makes iPhoto is not compatible with some versions of iMovie. Generally, video compatibility problem is the main reason that you cannot import videos from iPhoto to iMovie.
iMovie supports multiple video formats and allows you to create projects that are tailored to your specific video format. You can use the following formats in iMovie:
* MPEG-4 Simple Profile
* Movie File Type
* MPEG-2 and AVCHD
* DV-Standard (DV, DV Widescreen)
* HDV (High Definition Video: HDV 1080i in 25 and 30 fps, HDV 720p in 25 and 30 fps)
* QuickTime Movie (MOV)
Videos sometimes taken by digital cameras, such as Sony camera, Cannon camera, JVC camera, Flip video camera etc are in MPEG-1, MOD, TOD formats or video that in many popular video formats such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPG, MKV, etc. are not supported by iMovie directly. To import these kinds of iPhoto videos to iMovie directly, you will need to convert them to iMovie compatible MPEG-4 (MP4, M4V), MPEG-2, DV, HDV or MOV format.

Best Scanner for photo/documents which is under $120?
Hi all, I have a very old scanner by Canon, its performance is great, but slow scanning speed and not many features as to catch up today's needs. It often takes me a long while to scan things, to figure out how to resize them into paper size (by other image software), to get rid of the dust dots (by photoshop), and finally, to make pdf via other 3rd party software etc. So, I've just decided to buy a new scanner instead. A scanner that comes with everything i need with a one or two touch, to make things work together. Mainly I use scanner for scanning photo and homework and for copying as well. The additional feature of making pdf is a must too. Thanks.

What is the best scanner for photos ? (for a Mac)?
I am looking for a scanner to scan most of my old photos. Is there much of a difference between the top of the line scanners or is there one out there that is geared for photo scanning? Thanks
